STIR/SHAKEN and the Death of the Small VoIP Carrier

STIR/SHAKEN is a new set of telecom industry regulations designed to prevent robocalling – anything to help prevent these unwanted SPAM calls is a welcome change in the industry. However, these new rules also make it incredibly more challenging for smaller SIP providers and resellers to become compliant…to the point where we had to shut down our own SIP business for good.

In this video, I explain STIR/SHAKEN, discuss what is needed to become compliant, and interview VoIP industry expert Tony Lewis, CEO of ClearlyIP about this huge change in the telecommunications industry.
